Storyline Plumbum, or The Dangerous Game
A young teenage boy zealously tracks down criminals in this allegorical drama. Using the code name of Plumbum, Ruslan Chutko (Anton Androsov) delights in the pursuits of lawbreakers before informing the police, and he even turns in his own father when he catches him poaching fish. The questions are left to the viewer whether or not Plumbum is a crusading hero or a scoundrel. Western audiences may find the premise implausible, but children were known to inform on their own parents under the regime of Josef Stalin and others.Movie details

Plumbum in translation from Latin means lead - it is Ruslan Chutko's nickname who decided to become a "sanitary assistant of society." But while being taken away by his role of fighting against evil, he goes beyond the limits of child's game and mercilessly intrudes into other people's fates.

ReplyDeleteThe movie is a surprisingly well-structured blend of genre conventions which draws viewers in with one set of expectations and abruptly changes pace for a suspenseful thrill ride. The 3D Blu-ray surprises with a strong 3D presentation but also shows the same ugly, digitally man-handled video presentation, and the audio is the same as before.
